Breathe Wright is trained and certified to detect and mitigate a host of indoor air pollutants such as:
Radon is a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas that forms naturally when uranium, thorium, or radium (which are radioactive metals) break down in rocks, soil and groundwater. Any home indoor structure can have a high level of radon and if left undetected, can have serious health risks.
Houses built between 1930 and 1950 may have asbestos as insulation, flooring, textured paint or roofing. By the late 1970s, it was mostly illegal to manufacture most asbestos-containing products for construction. Asbestos is dangerous because once inhaled, it can cause several serious diseases.
Are you worried that the air quality in your home or business is unhealthy? Are you constantly sick or having breathing problems? Have you been trying to track-down that mysterious odor or worried about water damage? It could be mold, fungus, mildew or mold spores.
If your home was built before 1978, there is a good chance it has lead-based paint. In 1978, the federal government banned consumer uses of lead-containing paint, but some states banned it even earlier. Lead from paint, including lead-contaminated dust, is one of the most common causes of lead poisoning.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless gas that can cause sudden illness and death. Household appliances, such as gas fires, boilers, central heating systems, water heaters, cookers, and open fires which use gas, oil, coal and wood may be possible sources of CO gas.
When produced or smoked inside a home, smoke and nicotine can seep into the walls, carpets, and heating and cooling systems. Even slight traces of meth can cause headaches, nausea, and childhood developmental issues. Contaminated areas are often homes, hotels, and apartments.
Getting your area tested is the first step in getting that peace of mind and in the long run, could save you money as well as prevent health issues.
